The Grand Rapids Fire Fighters Building Inc. was established in the 1970's to provide a place to hold union functions and meetings. With money from the union sponsored bingo nights, the Building Corp. was able to place a down payment on the corner property at 1930 Fuller NE. (the current location).

 

The Building Corporation is made up of seven directors, one of which is union appointed.  The six remaining positions are filled annually, two at a time.  Each position carries a three – year term. The officers are the president, vice-president/secretary, and the treasurer.  All officers are elected by the board annually. Along with the “board”, we have a facility manager, and a maintenance person.

 

The Union Hall is the meeting place of the Grand Rapids Fire Fighters Union and the Grand Rapids Fire Fighters Building Inc. The hall is also available for rental. Information about rentals an be found here.
